Dear John,
I hope you and your family can relax this Christmas and enjoy what matters most. But for many Australians, that’s getting harder. Power bills have jumped almost 40% under Labor. Families are deciding whether to run the air-con on a hot day or keep the Christmas lights on.
That's not the Australia I want for my kids, and I’m sure you don’t either.
The good news? It doesn’t have to stay this way.
The Nationals' Powering Australia First plan backs all our energy resources, remove taxes, and puts Australians first. It makes power more affordable while still reducing emissions at the same pace as the rest of the developed world — without dumping huge costs on families and regional communities.
“Net Zero” is a slogan rather than a real engineering plan. And every day Australians are paying for it with higher prices, lost jobs, and less energy security.
Next year will be a turning point. The energy debate is heating up, and your voice matters. Staying informed is one of the strongest tools we have.
This Christmas, I'm asking you to stay connected with us online so we can break through the noise and reach even more Australians who are tired of being hit with rising costs.
I'm asking you one simple favour:
👉 Follow us on Facebook: facebook.com/TheNationalsAus
👉 Follow us on Instagram: @the_nationals
These are the places where we’re calling out the rising power costs, sharing what’s really going on, and fighting for Cheaper. Better. Fairer. energy. When you follow us, you're not just getting updates — you're joining thousands of Aussies who want common sense back in the energy debate.
Australians deserve real choices — not higher bills dressed up as “progress.”
From my family to yours, have a safe and Merry Christmas. Here's to a new year where common sense makes a comeback.
