Right now, the U.S. Senate is considering a dangerous and discriminatory bill: the so-called “Health Care Freedom for Patients Act of 2025” (S.3386). Despite its name, this legislation would take away essential health care from the people who need it most.
S.3386 would gut access to transition-related health care and abortion care, block federal funding for medically necessary treatments, restrict coverage for immigrants and asylum seekers, and even endorse non-consensual surgeries on intersex youth.
