Being a part of my mom’s campaign has been a wild ride. I know most 23-year-olds might not want to work for their moms right out of college, but every day I feel lucky to help elect such an amazing woman and proud Alaskan.

My mom has always been an advocate for my three brothers and me. Eight years ago, my mom attended a school board meeting to find out why funding cuts were threatening the art teacher position at my high school. From that meeting, my mom went on to organize thousands of parents, students, and community members across Alaska to hold the line for education funding at a state level.

My mom inspires me every day—she never backs down from a challenge and faces every obstacle with grit and determination. I know she’ll take that same spirit to Washington.
