Last night, Beto brought our Powered by People community together for an All Volunteer Call, and it was definitely an energizing and inspiring moment.
We talked about how we’re doing the work to reach and register the voters who will decide the closest races in our state—and how our 2024 organizing helped drive young voter turnout up across Texas. That didn’t happen by accident. It happened because volunteers like you spent your evenings, weekends, energy, and heart connecting with voters, getting new people registered, and having the conversations that truly matter.
During the call, Beto also shared clear, immediate ways to plug in and make a difference right now with so much on the line. And the response spoke volumes:
- More than 550 people attended, with folks joining from every region of Texas and even across the country.
- People gathered together at 8 in-person watch parties in Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, the RGV, San Antonio, Tyler, and Bryan-College Station.
- More than 200 people signed up for trainings before the night was over.
- More than 50 people were so eager to get going that they signed up for in-person organizing events that are taking place in the next week.
These moments where people come together and raise their hands to get involved are how we build the kind of statewide grassroots power that overcomes voter suppression and changes Texas for the better. This is how we win in 2026: together, in community, one conversation at a time.
But to keep this momentum going and to support our newly added volunteers, we need to make sure our organizing program has the resources to reach every voter we can—especially in the places that will decide the balance of power in Texas.
