In a secretive, closed convention miles out of our district, Republican insiders settled on a nominee to face off against Abigail.

Abigail’s new opponent is a state legislator who has a political career marked by obstructionism, special interests, and an inability to submit his ballot-access paperwork on time. He has consistently shown he cares more about his extreme ideology than getting things done for the people of Virginia.

In fact, in the last two General Assembly sessions, he opposed more than 100 legislative initiatives that had broad, bipartisan support, voting with an extreme minority. Central Virginians rejected that same obstructionism and lack of leadership in 2018 when they elected Abigail, and we will again with your help.

In Congress, Abigail has consistently shown that she puts the people of Virginia first, and she has been widely recognized for working hard to solve problems and enact important legislation by building broad coalitions. In fact, she has been ranked one of the top five most bipartisan House Democrats in the 116th Congress.
