Serving your country means taking an oath to support and defend the Constitution. But too often, we watch some politicians choose politics over country, in violation of that oath.

My friend, former Congresswoman Elaine Luria, is different.

I’ve had the honor of knowing Elaine since 2018, when we flipped GOP-controlled swing districts and were elected as freshman members of Congress. We had a lot in common: our home state, our careers in national security, and our deeply-held commitment to the Republic.

During our tenures in Congress, we delivered long-overdue health care coverage for thousands of Virginia Veterans, voted for two impeachments, passed historic investments in our Commonwealth’s infrastructure, clean energy, and manufacturing, protected affordable healthcare from Republican attacks, and put the people of Virginia first.

When Elaine wins back her seat in Congress in 2026, I know she’ll fight for the people of Coastal Virginia as fearlessly as she’s fought for her country.
