Urgent: SD-15 special election will decide Senate control |
I’m reaching out because we are facing a major test of our Senate majority, and the timeline could not be tighter. With Lt. Governor-elect Ghazala Hashmi’s resignation from her seat in the Senate, the January 6 special election in Senate District 15 has become one of the most important races in Virginia this cycle. |
Our majority in the Senate is narrow. One seat can determine what we can pass, what we can protect, and what we can stop. If the opposition flips this district, all the momentum we worked so hard this year to build will be lost.
And special elections are unpredictable: - Turnout is extremely low.
- Races are often decided by a few hundred votes.
-
Early resources almost always determine who wins the race.

Delegate Mike Jones is a strong nominee for SD-15, but we are on an incredibly short clock. The other side is already mobilizing, and if we fall behind now, it will be difficult to close the gap before January 6.
|
That’s why I’m asking for your help, at any level you can give. Whether it’s $10, $25, $100, or more if you’re able, every single contribution in a special election directly fuels the voter contact, messaging, and turnout work that decides these close races.
If you can, please make a contribution today, tonight if possible: |
Your support, at any amount, truly matters here. Together we can hold SD-15, protect our Senate majority, and continue delivering real progress for the people of Virginia.
