Dear John, I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to everyone who was able to join us at our Holiday Open House last night! As this year comes to a close, it was such a wonderful chance to be in community with our neighbors, friends in philanthropy, and movement leaders. Last night’s event was a bit bittersweet for me, because it was–in a way–the first of my “lasts,” as the organization heads towards my transition in June 2026. Relationship building has always been a key part of my vision and strategy for the Foundation, and we began hosting the open house during my tenure to do just that. To bring folks together to connect, to laugh, to strategize, and at times, to commiserate. This work is not without its challenges, and this year has put that into stark focus. Moments like last night remind us that we’re not doing this work alone–something I imagine we all need right now. I hope all those who could join us enjoyed seeing the office, meeting some of the Ms. Foundation staff, and building relationships with one another.
