Hi John,

In Portland, federal agents in unmarked vans are snatching protestors off the street without a word and taking them away for questioning. The protestors aren’t told why they’re being held or if they’re even under arrest.

This is dangerous, secret-police behavior.

Yet my Democratic opponent Rep. Derek Kilmer has said nothing about it. He needs to push for Bill Barr’s impeachment and do everything he can to make that happen.

In Congress, I will fight back against abuses of civil liberty by the government. We only have 17 days left until the primary. Can you rush a $3 donation now, so I can beat Kilmer and stand up to governmental overreach in Congress?

I remember when I was a co-leader of Indivisible Tacoma, and we’d ask Rep. Kilmer to fight back harder against Trump’s agenda.

The response we got back was always the same: he claimed there was nothing he could do.

This is not true. Democrats have the power to fight back against Trump and they refuse to use it.

Congress is supposed to be a co-equal branch of government with the judiciary and the presidency, and I’m tired of Democrats who fold and refuse to fight back.

Far from fighting back, Kilmer votes for Trump’s favorite policies. From extending the Patriot Act to funding ICE and Trump’s border wall, Kilmer has enabled Trump time and again — all while saying he’s fighting him.

I will never say one thing and do another. I will never compromise my values.

If you’re ready for another strong, progressive Democrat in the House, please chip in $3 now:

Voting ends in just 17 days. This is urgent.
