John —

Hegseth couldn’t wait to show off the video of his first illegal boat strike back in September. Posted it on social media, gave it to cable news, went and did interviews about it, started putting together tough guy videos and dumb memes.

The guy wouldn’t shut up about it.

But there’s more video, and it shows further strikes on shipwrecked survivors. Lawmakers were horrified after they saw it. It has been described and profiled in the press. Trump himself said he’d be fine with it being released.

But now Hegseth doesn’t want anybody seeing the rest of the footage. He’s adamant these strikes were not war crimes — but he’s doing everything he can to cover up the evidence that would let people decide for themselves.

Nah. That’s not going to cut it.

If this is the supposed most transparent President, White House, and Defense Department in American history, they should release the video.

If these strikes were defensible in any way, release the video.

If they have nothing to hide, release the damn video.

This is STILL a democracy, and the American people deserve to know the truth about what Hegseth is ordering our military to do.

We are demanding that the Department of Defense release the footage of these strikes with all haste, and we’re asking you to sign on.

RELEASE THE DAMN VIDEO

Let the people decide.

Please, sign on.
