Trump and "Affordability"

Has the Trump administration's policies done enough to lower the cost of living?

During a cabinet meeting last week, the president called affordability a “fake narrative” and “con job.” Yet this came after he uploaded a lengthy post on social media in part saying "I AM THE AFFORDABILITY PRESIDENT. TALK LOUDLY AND PROUDLY." When asked to give himself a grade on his work on the economy by a reporter, Donald Trump said, "A+++++."

But an overwhelming majority of Americans are increasingly viewing the economy negatively under the Trump administration's policies according to Fox News.

This Fox News survey from November states that some 76% of voters view the economy negatively, describing it as "not so good" or "poor", up from 67% in July.

The same survey indicates that 60% of Americans view their personal financial situations as "not so good" or "poor."

But I want you to know that I continue to take your cost of living seriously.
