Friend,

Alyse’s husband, Pat, here and today I’m asking for your help celebrating Alyse’s birthday by signing her card.

But first, I want to tell you a bit about our story.

It took Alyse awhile to be sure about me. She brought me home to Alaska the first summer we were together. She showed me where she grew up: the chicken diner her grandpa always took her to with the best milkshakes, the grocery store she walked to with her brothers, and the mountains that stood beside her as she fell asleep each night.

I learned a lot that summer about who Alyse really is. I learned what makes her excited to wake up in the morning and decide to keep going when times are tough: the people she wants to help, and the land she wants to see thrive. She made it clear that this is where she planned to make a life, and if I wasn’t on board, the relationship wasn’t going much further. 33 years and four kids later, staying in Alaska to be with Alyse was the best decision I ever made.

It may have taken that summer for her to be sure of me, but Alyse never had a doubt about Alaska.

That faith in the promise of this beautiful state is why she is running for Congress and why, if elected, she will be a great champion for every Alaskan.

If you have faith in Alyse and her vision for Alaska, I hope you’ll sign her virtual birthday card and leave a note of encouragement. [link removed]

Thanks for your support,

Pat
