Anti-racist activists have won another battle.
Washington D.C.’s NFL team has announced they’ll be dropping their racist name and logo after public outcry made waves across social media and across the country.
And to think that, as recently as 2013, team owner Dan Snyder said “We will never change the name of the team.” His backing down proves that when Americans unite, real change is possible.
But Republicans -- led by Donald Trump -- have been critical of anti-racist reforms like this one. In the past, Trump even accused Barack Obama of “harassing” the team after Obama endorsed a name change while president. It looks like -- unsurprisingly -- history has proven Obama right and Trump wrong. But with so many battles yet to be fought, we need to know where you stand:
