Dear Patriot,
Right now, the U.S. House is rushing to pass the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) after several weeks of behind-the-scenes chicanery.
Late Sunday, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) released the text of the 3,000-plus page bill that only a select few senators and representatives had even seen.
Yesterday, Johnson sent the bill to his Rules Committee to prep it for a final vote on the rule in the House, which is expected early this afternoon.
The good news is the version being considered this week in the U.S. House does not include the AI moratorium or Section 702 renewal – we will be watching other must-pass legislation for their inclusion.
But I’m afraid I have some bad news, too.
You may recall earlier this year Speaker Johnson agreed to include the CBDC ban in the NDAA in exchange for support from a handful of Republicans who were opposed to other legislation.
Campaign for Liberty warned at the time it was a dangerous bargain.
As we predicted, Johnson did not keep his word. The CBDC ban was stripped from the NDAA.
And that’s not all.
This is the costliest NDAA of all time – over $900 billion – with billions in foreign spending, including a sizable chunk to Ukraine. Not only that, but it includes automatic Selective Service registration of all males from the ages of 18-26.
This NDAA does not support limited government or liberty, and it increases spending substantially, which is a major factor in the inflation Americans are suffering from.
Call your U.S. Representative at 202-224-3121 RIGHT NOW and DEMAND they vote NO on the rule for the NDAA, which will force them to go back to the drawing board.
Demand they CUT spending and strike the foreign handouts and automatic Selective Service enrollment.
Demand Speaker Johnson KEEP HIS WORD on the CBDC ban!
The statists never stop fighting, so neither can we.
Please take one moment to call your representative at 202-224-3121 now.
And if you can, please support Campaign for Liberty’s work with a contribution ([link removed]). Your gift of $10 or $100 or $1,000 or something in-between will help us fight this battle and those to come.
Thanks to your support, we’ve made it this far, but we can’t let up now.
Whatever contribution you can make today ([link removed]), every contribution helps us reach and mobilize more people.
For Liberty,
John McCardell
Executive Director
P.S. The statists in Washington want to drag you, your kids, and your grandkids off to war.
With just hours to review the 3,000-plus page NDAA before it was rushed to Speaker Johnson’s Rules Committee, they thought we wouldn’t notice they slipped automatic Selective Service registration and BILLIONS in foreign spending into their record-breaking $900 BILLION bill.
This NDAA does not support limited government or liberty.
It increases spending substantially, which is a major factor in the inflation Americans are suffering from.
Call your U.S. Representative at 202-224-3121 RIGHT NOW and DEMAND they vote NO on the rule for the NDAA, which will force them to go back to the drawing board.
And if you support Campaign for Liberty’s ongoing efforts to expose and stop this madness, please support us with a contribution ([link removed]). It’s the only thing that keeps us going.
