December Newsletter
Greetings fellow Democrats!

This Thursday, the SaveTetonPassTrail organization is hosting, along with many other partner organizations, a fundraiser at the World Famous Stagecoach bar!   The Teton Pass trail is one that many of us take advantage often, especially during the summer months.  Come spend an evening with other Teton Pass lovers!
Winter driving has begun!
Winter is now here, with Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and Snow King (soon) open.  Our exceptional recreational terrain brings with it certain challenges, especially during the winter.

Congestion is a major issue in our small community.  The Town and County, through our elected officials, and other involved citizens, are working on ways to reduce the congestion and create better transit options for all of us.  The START bus board will be debating various new route options over the next few meetings.  As a reminder, if you are curious about how the START bus operates, or have questions/comments relating to our transit system, please get in touch

START board meetings are the 3d Thursday of every month, unless otherwise noted.  The next START board meeting is December 18th, at 3:30 pm, at the Teton County Commissioner's Chambers.
Healthcare issues
We know many in our community have been affected by the rising health care costs, due to many issues.  We want to hear from you in regards to the increase of premiums, coverage changes, and any other government related healthcare issues.  In these difficult times, we must come together to solve these complex issues.
Housing discussion
Last Monday, December 1st, the Town Council heard an application from the Jackson Hole Housing Trust regarding a rental opportunity on Nelson Drive.  More information can be found on the project here.  This project can be positive for the Forest Service, Town, and County.  We urge you to direct your questions to those in charge of this project, at the Jackson Hole Housing Trust, and to our elected officials.  They are the ones with appropriate information, and can provide accurate answers.
The next meeting to decide the future of this project will be on Monday, December 15th.  We hope you will show up, to support a positive project for the Forest Service, Town and County.
