In December 2023, Missio Alliance commissioned a series of Advent reflections from our Writing Collective. Entitled “Waiting With God, For God: An Advent Series,” six writers explored the central movements of the Advent season, waiting and watching with God, pursuing justice with joy, and the traditional themes of hope, peace, joy, and love that lead us toward Christmastide. One piece even tenderly engages the grief that can surface during the Christmas season.

We are grateful to bring this series back to you for this year’s Advent journey. May these reflections shape your meditation, prayer, and worshipful anticipation of the coming King, Jesus Christ.
