In 2021, the Biden-Harris administration launched the America the Beautiful initiative, a plan to conserve 30% of U.S. land and water by 2030—a goal often referred to as 30x30. This effort depends on state and local action and collaboration to achieve success. When the initiative launched it received widespread support from more than 50 Tribal leaders and organizations and hundreds of locally elected officials across the country. But now, the Trump administration has rescinded this directive, leaving states to carry the effort forward. That’s where you come in.
