Demand Congress build a better future

What is the Senate doing to ensure we come out of this crisis better off than when it started?

It's time to rebuild better.

We are living in uncertain times. But one thing remains true: Americans deserve a government that is working to protect them.

The House just recently passed legislation that paves the way towards a safer, cleaner, and healthier future — one where less pollution is pumped into our air, our communities are protected from the climate crisis, and America’s children have access to safe drinking water, all while creating good jobs that will help power our economy

Will you take action today, and join us in demanding that the Senate do the same?

Here's the vision we need to make a reality:

Clean transportation is thriving. America has transitioned to electric vehicles, including our buses and trucks. A coast-to-coast charging infrastructure powers them all. Our planes run cleaner and more efficiently, and even our shipping ports are well on the way to zero emissions.

We've taken on oil and gas climate pollution. The thousands of “orphaned wells” across the country — left behind when industry abandoned them, leaking dangerous methane and other pollution into our air and toxins into our water — have been capped and are no longer a danger. Oil field workers are put to work capping these wells rather than digging new ones.

We’ve cleaned up the energy that powers our homes and businesses. Rather than relying on an electric grid Edison would recognize, one built for the 21st century delivers the clean energy we need, not dirty energy that pollutes our air and puts us in danger.

America’s children have clean, safe drinking water because we’ve replaced the 9 million lead pipes — called lead service lines — that still connect American homes to main water lines.

Our communities are protected from extreme weather because we have shored up our coastlines and rebuilt the natural protections that had previously been stripped under the pressures of erosion, development, constrained rivers and rising seas.

And everyone is able to safely vote, even in the midst of a pandemic. Funding is guaranteed for expanded vote-by-mail. Every voter in America is able to request a mail-in ballot for any reason. And safety measures are in place for in-person voting, including PPE for poll workers.

If this is the future you want to see, join us in telling the Senate that it’s time to rebuild better.
