Grants Programme 2026-30

Following the announcement of London Councils'  2026-2030 Pan-London Grants Programme, Chair of the London Councils Grant Committee, Cllr Peray Ahmet, said: “We’re incredibly proud to launch this new phase of the pan-London Grants Programme, which will see £25 million invested in frontline voluntary organisations supporting some of our most vulnerable residents.

“I’ve seen first-hand the transformative impact the funding has had in our communities – focussing on homelessness and tackling domestic abuse. These results show what’s possible when London’s boroughs work together and take decisive, collective action to address the capital’s most urgent challenges.”

Freedom Pass: New website

London Councils has launched a new website for the Freedom Pass, which has been developed to enhance the experience for Freedom Pass users and features improved content, design, and layout.

You can explore the new website, which includes all you need to know in using or renewing your pass, and what to do if you have changed your name or address, here.

And a reminder, that If you know someone with an Older Person's Freedom Pass expiring in March 2026, they don't need to do anything. If they are still eligible, they will receive a new pass in January 2026.

APPG for London

Last week the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for London held its annual Winter Reception, supported by BusinessLDN, Ballymore and Waymo.

The event was an opportunity to celebrate London, mark the successes of 2025 and explore the key issues facing the capital and how national and local government, businesses and voluntary and community groups can work together so London remains a thriving city.

The APPG for London, co-chaired by Florence Eshalomi, MP for Vauxhall; Munira Wilson, MP for Twickenham and Lord Ranger of Northwood, is a forum for MPs and Peers to work together on a cross-party basis to strengthen the capital's voice in Parliament.

London Councils provides the secretariat to the group on behalf of London government, including the Mayor of London and the London Assembly.
