Meet Kevin Mannix

If you live in the Salem area, you probably know who Representative Kevin Mannix is – he represents District 21, which includes ​North Salem and Keizer. 

If you live outside the area, you should know he’s a strong pro-life lawmaker who stands up for Oregon’s most vulnerable in the state legislature.

He’s an incredible pro-life ally who used to be a Democrat but left the party because it didn’t align with his pro-life values.

We can count on Mannix to be a consistent voice for life in the legislature. But his election wasn’t guaranteed. In fact, he won by just over a thousand votes. 

Running against pro-abortion candidate Virginia Stapleton, who was backed by Planned Parenthood, he was attacked repeatedly on the abortion issue. Stapleton thought her abortion extremism would win votes. But she didn’t count on Oregon Right to Life PAC.

We supported Mannix with a winning pro-life message and got out the vote through dedicated grassroots action. Our election communications focused voters’ attention on how radical Mannix’s pro-abortion opponent was, contrasting her with the reasonableness of Mannix’s positions.

The result? Mannix won and is now representing pro-life values in the legislature.

*The political tax credit allows a joint-filing couple to give up to $100-single filers can give up to $50-and then receive every penny back when they file their Oregon tax return for that year.

**Single filers with a household income of $75,000 or less can claim up to $50 when filing your Oregon taxes. Joint filers with a household income of less than $150,000 can claim up to $100. Individuals with federal adjusted gross incomes over $75,000 or joint filers with combined adjusted gross incomes exceeding $150,000 no longer qualify for the Political Tax Credit. However, every contribution is still extremely valuable to our mission.
