Dear John,

I’ve heard from countless people here in the Inland Empire about their concerns that Donald Trump's and Congressional Republicans' policies are not focused on lowering costs. Millions of hardworking Americans are struggling to make ends meet. Donald Trump and Republicans have been busy passing economic policies like their Big Ugly Law. This law gives tax breaks to billionaires paid for by taking food off the tables of families who rely on food assistance and throwing more than 15 million Americans off their health insurance, according to analysis by the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office. Additionally, the Trump Administration sent $40 billion to bail out Argentina’s economy while American families continue to struggle. 

Instead of giving tax breaks to billionaires and big corporations, Congress needs to be focused on addressing the issues that hardworking Americans care most about. I’ll work with anyone, Republican or Democrat, to pass laws that address the most important issues like the high cost of living and the health care crisis.
