John -- When the COVID-19 crisis hit, members of Congress did the bare minimum to help everyday, hard working Americans. Not everyone received the $2,000 relief payment, and even for those who did, it was a few crumbs, not a lifeline in such desperate times. 
 
In the same period that unemployment has crashed across the country, Wall Street has soared, and the top 1% are gaining in wealth. A lot of this came in the form of the PPP Loan program, which has NO oversight. But we do know that quite a bit of these funds went to businesses that didn’t help everyday people. We must elect representatives who reflect hardworking people; someone who will be accountable to those who put them in office!

Workers are the engine of this American economy, and they have been left to fend for themselves. We can’t let this go on. We must fight for progressive policies like Medicare for All, and a livable wage to name a couple. It starts with electing people who understand the struggles of everyday people.
