Working Families Party

John,

Just a few days ago, Rep. Adelita Grijalva was pepper-sprayed by ICE agents outside of a restaurant in Tucson, Arizona.1

She was there to monitor an ongoing ICE raid, and even identified herself as a member of Congress in the hopes of de-escalating the situation, and they responded by manhandling and pepper-spraying her.

ICE has gone completely rogue, and it’s by design. They operate with no transparency, accountability, or due-process. And if they’re doing this to members of Congress, imagine the terror they inflict on communities when the cameras aren’t rolling.

Sign your name today and demand that Congress launch an investigation into this attack, then rein in ICE’s out-of-control power.

This isn’t just “a few bad apples.”

In May, Newark Mayor Ras Baraka was arrested while conducting an oversight visit of a newly re-opened ICE detention facility.2

And in June, NYC Comptroller Brad Lander was tackled to the ground and dragged out of an immigration courthouse.3

But this is just the tip of the iceberg. ICE’s abuses go far beyond a handful of lawmakers. All year long, this rogue agency has been terrorizing communities, threatening civilians at gunpoint, tackling bystanders, and kidnapping students.

And they’re doing it all with the gleeful backing of Trump, his billionaire stooges, and MAGA cronies in Congress.

They must be reined in. Add your name today and call for an immediate investigation into ICE’s attacks on Rep. Adelita Grijalva, and a crackdown on their unchecked power.

In solidarity,

Team WFP
