Dear Friend,

It’s been a long year. Together, we’ve advocated fiercely for policies
that enable our families and communities to thrive, and we’ve mobilized
growing pressure on Republican leaders in Congress to roll back the
devastating health care cuts passed in Trump’s Big Ugly Bill. Because of
your strong voices, we are expecting votes in Congress this week to extend
ACA tax credits. This is the time to make even more noise!

expiring ACA tax credits and stop the health care price hikes! *When you

We’re down to the wire to push Republican leaders in Congress to lower
costs and save health care for millions of people. The Affordable Care Act
(ACA) enhanced premium tax credits are set to expire at the end of 2025.
If Republican leaders in Congress do not extend the ACA tax credits before
then, health care costs will more than double for over 20 million people.
[1] To make matters more urgent, there’s only *8* legislative days left in
the year when Congress is in session and can vote on this critical issue
to bring some much-needed relief to families.

There’s a way to get us out of this mess, and we need your voice! The U.S.
Senate plans to vote this week on a three-year extension of the ACA tax
credits proposed by Senate Democrats. Basically, that proposal would keep
the ACA tax credit program running the way it has since 2021. Right now,
this is the only solution that would protect health care for the millions
of people who find insurance through the ACA Marketplace—and it could be
put into action quickly enough to prevent any gaps in coverage and care.

Republican leaders feel it too. Add your name to stop the health care
price hikes! *When you click, you’ll automatically sign on if we already

Health care in the U.S. is expensive enough, but Republican leaders in
Congress have decided 2025 is the year to make the situation far worse by
attacking programs that make health care more affordable and accessible.
Over the summer, Republican leaders cut $1 trillion from health programs
like Medicaid, taking coverage from more than 15 million people. [2]

Now, Republicans in Congress are doing everything they can to eliminate
the ACA tax credits, which help 24 million people afford health care and
have proven to significantly increase access to health care. [ [link removed] ] Thanks to
the ACA tax credits and other policies that make Marketplace coverage
easier to access, health insurance enrollment more than doubled between
2020 and 2024—and over a million additional children signed up. [ [link removed] ] If
Republican leaders in Congress decide to end the premium tax credits,
nearly 5 million people—including children and people with pre-existing
conditions—will lose their health care coverage altogether. [ [link removed] ]

At this point, the mandate is clear: the only way for Republican leaders
to address this health care crisis of their making is for Congress to pass
a clean extension of the ACA tax credits. The opportunity to do so starts
this week in the Senate, and we need your voice.

Dear Member of Congress,

We’re down to the wire to save health care and lower costs for millions
of Americans. The Affordable Care Act (ACA) enhanced premium tax credits
will expire at the end of 2025— that's only a few legislative days
before the end of the year to vote on this critical issue and bring some
much-needed relief to families.

The cost of health care in the U.S. was already high. Now, with $1
trillion in cuts to health care over the summer and also the ACA premium
tax credits on the line, a dire situation has escalated into a
full-blown crisis. Fifteen million people will already lose health care
due to Medicaid cuts passed earlier this year. If Congress does not
renew the ACA premium tax credits before they’re set to expire at the
end of the year, then health care costs will more than double for over
20 million people, and nearly 5 million additional people will lose
their health coverage altogether.

When millions become uninsured, it will also put a strain on the entire
health care system, causing health care costs to rise across the board
and even force hundreds of hospitals, maternity wards, and nursing homes
to close. Research has found that millions of Americans will
collectively pay an estimated $23 billion more next year just to
maintain the same level of coverage they currently rely on. This harms
the economy and families alike.

We urge you to vote YES on a clean three-year extension of the ACA tax
credits—a solution that will protect affordable, accessible health care
for millions of people and can be implemented quickly enough to prevent
any gaps in coverage and care.

The more people who speak out, the bigger our impact. Please take a moment
to [4]share our action link with your friends and family.

Together we are a powerful voice for families.
