I conceded my race. I lost. 

It stings even writing this email. 

I so badly wished the outcome was different… but you can dwell on
the past or learn from it.

The Democrats played dirty. They dragged my name through the mud.

My opponent hired some nut job to churn out racist and sexist slurs
against me— just for being a MAGA Latina who loves Trump.

It was one of the nastiest smear campaigns in America. And in the end,
I lost my race by a hair.

But I didn’t turn to bitterness. I turned to Scripture:

“Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. 
They will soar on wings like eagles…” 
— Isaiah 40:31

This is Mayra Flores— and I believe God called me back to finish
what we started.
