It's Wendy, from Marcy's finance team. I wanted to be honest with you, friend, and let you know that we'll be emailing you a lot this month.
I know you probably think we already email you a lot. We don't deny that — but we try to be transparent with you about why your support matters. We don't use phony tactics or dramatic language designed to scare you into donating.
We just tell you the truth: that this is one of the most vulnerable blue seats in the nation, and a key battleground in our fight to retake the House.
And December is an especially important month in that fight, friend. It's the last month of the FEC fundraising quarter, which means after Dec. 31st, we have to submit a report detailing every dollar we raised in October, November, and December.
It's a little bit of "inside baseball," but these reports mean a lot. The press and our opponents scrutinize them, looking for any signs of weakness.
If we fall short of our goals, MAGA groups are sure to ramp up their dark money attacks in an attempt to buy this seat.
So when we say "this end-of-quarter fundraising deadline is really important," we mean it. And we're always happy to explain how your grassroots support fits into the big picture. We know that when our supporters have all the information, they'll step up and chip in when they can.
