December 9, 2025 The Latest News Scoring Legislative Wins Conservative women in the House notched important policy wins this past week on a wide variety of important issues. President Trump signed Rep. Ann Wagner’s (MO-02) Taiwan Assurance Implementation Act into law, legislation designed to combat China's aggression and support an independent Taiwan. Under the Biden administration, small businesses had to contend with a record-breaking $1.8 trillion in regulatory costs. The House passed Rep. Beth Van Duyne’s (TX-24) Small Business Regulatory Reduction Act to prohibit the Small Business Administration from taking regulatory action that raises compliance costs while also requiring the SBA to report annually on the regulatory costs other agencies impose on small businesses. Rep. Monica De La Cruz’s (TX-15) HUD Transparency Act also cleared the chamber. Her legislation requires the Department of Housing and Urban Development's Inspector General to regularly report on efforts to root out waste, fraud, and abuse so housing programs actually serve the families they’re meant to help.
