Our military families make so many sacrifices to keep our country safe, but they are often forced to move every two or three years with little predictability.
This constant relocation takes a heavy toll. It disrupts children’s education, makes it nearly impossible for spouses to build stable careers, and severs ties with the communities they call home. Our service members and their families deserve better.
That is why I recently introduced the Stabilizing Tours to Advance Readiness (STAY) Act. This bipartisan legislation is designed to reduce unnecessary moves, save taxpayer money, and improve the quality of life for our military families.
