A bombshell leaked memo just directed Trump’s Department of Justice to compile a list of "domestic terrorism" groups accused of "anti-American sentiment." These are the tactics of dictators – and now, they’re being aimed directly at grassroots organizations like Our Revolution.

We’re staring down a dark turn in American history – and there is a target directly on our back. Fox News Radio just called Our Revolution “Bernie Sanders’ Gestapo” and we’re seeing a huge increase in attention from MAGA mouthpieces like Breitbart aimed at us.

We refuse to be silenced, but we have to act fast and protect our movement. We’re already investing in encrypted communications, legal support, emergency security training, and rapid response to keep our staff and all our activists safe – but our resources are stretched thin and our fundraising for this month is behind.

The new hit list of organizations could be ANY group that the Trump administration finds to have "extreme viewpoints on immigration, radical gender ideology, and anti-American sentiment." And once they have that list, the memo calls on law enforcement to use Trump’s chilling National Security directive (NSPM-7) from earlier this year to “root out all culpable participants — including organizers and funders”.

It’s terrifying – and a clear, written plan to put groups who stand for immigrant rights, LGBTQ+ rights, and workers’ dignity on a blacklist. They want to turn every activist willing to speak out into a “suspect.”

That’s not America – that’s authoritarianism. And while they want to intimidate us, together we can stand up and show them what real courage looks like.

But the truth is: to prepare we urgently need to increase our cyber security, grow our legal defense fund, and train our volunteers on how to stay safe. And every dollar we spend defending ourselves is one less dollar we can use for grassroots organizing, demonstrations, or supporting working-class candidates running against the far right.

When we organize, we win.
