Sometimes I see a headline, and I ask myself: How in the world is this happening in the United States in 2025, John?! The President does not have the authority to strip Americans of their citizenship. It's not a gray area. It's not up for interpretation, no matter how much Stephen Miller wants it to be. And yet, Donald Trump openly admitted that if he could, he would. He doesn't care whether the Constitution allows it; he cares whether he wants it. It's no secret that Donald Trump wants more power than is constitutionally given to him. He's been doing everything he can to get the government under his full control since he set foot in the Oval Office. This is exactly how he operates. When Trump can't bend the law, he pressures Congress to change it for him. First, he floats the idea, then he pushes his Republican yes men until someone gives him what he wants. This is a threat to our Democratic values as a country, John. A democracy cannot function if a leader believes the law is optional. We need a Senate that is willing to confront Trump's overreaches of power head-on, not enable it. Sign on to our petition to demand Trump stop trying to misuse the office of the president >> Thank you, Chris
