I recently visited the Tacoma, Washington ICE facility, and ICE tried to lie to my FACE.

For the past many months, Trump’s cruel abuse of ICE’s authority has terrorized our communities and disappeared so many of our friends, family, and loved ones.

I wanted to see these ICE facilities myself and understand what my constituents, and so many other members of our community, are being put through.

When I asked about the conditions, ICE tried to lie to my face.

When the Salinas family came to the United States from Mexico in 1945, we did so because the United States was the land of opportunity. Donald Trump and MAGA extremists are tearing apart that dream. This is not justice. This is terror. And I will not let Trump, or any Republican standing with him, get away with this.

Flipping the House blue in 2026 could be our only line of defense against Trump and his MAGA agenda. Our work to flip the House, and put lawmakers in charge who will ACTUALLY stand up to hold this authoritarian administration accountable to the American people has NEVER been more — and that starts with defending must-win seats like OR-06.
