Trump’s latest stunt is as cruel as it is dangerous. His administration announced it will block millions in SNAP funding from Democratic-led states unless they hand over personal data on food stamp recipients.

Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins said it plainly. Starting this week, they will stop sending food assistance funds to states that don’t give in. That means seniors, kids, and working families could lose the help they need to eat — all because Trump wants to punish blue states.
