In Colorado, Planned Parenthood provides a wide range of services, from abortion care to wellness and preventative care to STI testing to mental health services. Stripping Medicaid funding from Planned Parenthood threatened to prevent Coloradans from accessing an important source of medical care. We stopped that from happening.

Colorado is an island of abortion care access for the western United States. Six out of our seven neighboring states have more restrictive abortion laws than we do, which makes it even more crucial for Coloradans to be able to access care where they live.

The data is clear: the risk of dying during pregnancy is 2X higher in states with abortion bans. Being denied this choice can force women into worse financial, health, and family outcomes. As your governor, I will always defend Coloradans’ right to make their own reproductive health care decisions.
