"Sometimes I lose hope myself and feel that death is near,” Zainab , a mother of 6, shared with our teams in Yemen. She has been displaced multiple times and is the sole caretaker of her family. Most nights, her children go to bed hungry, uncertain when food will come again.

9.6 million women and girls like Zainab are facing severe hunger in Yemen right now.

The needs of families like hers are so urgent that all gifts from supporters like you will be doubled. Please, will you make a gift to deliver care to women and girls surviving hunger, displacement, and violence in Yemen and around the world? Your gift will make two times the impact for more women and girls in need. [[link removed]?]

I wanted you to hear from Zainab because her daily reality is shared by millions of women and girls in Yemen, where years of ongoing conflict and climate disasters have resulted in a widespread hunger crisis, escalating violence, and a collapsing healthcare system.

The hunger crisis is especially dangerous for pregnant women and new mothers: 1.3 million pregnant and breastfeeding women in Yemen are acutely malnourished, increasing the likelihood that themselves or their newborns will perish.

UNFPA teams are working tirelessly to provide the healthcare and support these women and girls desperately need. This year alone, we've reached over 1.5 million women and girls in Yemen.

But our work is fragile. Funding cuts have forced 40% of essential services to close, leaving 2 million women and girls without access to lifesaving care.

Women and girls are counting on us for lifesaving care this winter and, right now, your support will go twice as far. Will you consider making a gift to deliver hope, health, and dignity to women and girls in Yemen and around the world? [[link removed]?]

DOUBLE MY IMPACT NOW [[link removed]?]

Thank you for being there for women and girls. Together, we can create a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe, and every woman and girl can reach her fullest potential.

Sincerely,
