As 2025 comes to a close, we wanted you to know something important. Thanks to your generosity, Reporters Without Borders (RSF) has achieved serious victories this year for press freedom and the protection of journalists around the world.

Today, we are facing a critical challenge. At a time when threats to journalism have never been greater, we’re facing a shortfall in fundraising — driven in large part by the sharp decline in public funding. The gap between our available resources and the needs on the ground is widening and will continue to grow in 2026. We need your support now more than ever.

We have done everything we can to optimise our resources and ensure that every gift has maximum impact, but without additional support, this deficit could jeopardise some of our essential projects planned for 2026.
