Fellow American,
In June, conservatives suffered a setback for the pro-life cause.
The Supreme Court struck down a Louisiana law that required physicians performing abortions in clinics to have admitting privileges at a nearby hospital.
It is sad that pro-abortion liberals are willing to risk the health or even life of a woman by denying her proper care should something go wrong during an invasive medical procedure.
I have been one of the strongest pro-life supporters in the Senate during my tenure, and I will continue to advocate for our nation’s most vulnerable citizens — the unborn. Every baby is precious, and deserves the right to be born alive.
I’m proud to have a 100% pro-life voting record, and to have been endorsed by the Nebraska Right to Life in my Senate campaign.
I cosponsored, defended, and voted for the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. This legislation would have ensured that newborns who survived an abortion attempt receive the same care and attention as any other newborn.
Without question, newborns deserve care, attention, and love.
This should not be a divisive issue.
The decision recently made by the Supreme Court is deeply troubling, as it has less to do with “women’s health” than with protecting abortion all cost.
Another piece of legislation I support is the Protect Funding for Women’s Health Care Act, which defunds Planned Parenthood while ensuring there is no reduction in total federal funding for women’s health.
We need to do better for our children. We need to make sure they all have a chance to take their first breath of air.
I will continue to fight for the unborn, and protect life.
Sincerely,
Deb Fischer
