Dear John,
You may have heard about the Trump Administration’s latest attempt to rollback clean water protections: the Polluted Water Rule. [[link removed]] At a time when we need the EPA to be doing more to protect clean water that is vital to the health and wellbeing of our communities, Trump is ordering them to do less. Email EPA Administrator Zeldin today, and tell him to stop the Polluted Water Rule.

Wetlands and streams are valuable resources that provide essential fish and wildlife habitats, store carbon, prevent flooding, filter out harmful pollution and protect clean drinking water. Science is clear: wetlands and streams of all kinds greatly benefit water quality in downstream waters, including drinking water sources. The EPA’s proposed Polluted Water Rule will weaken the Clean Water Act and hand corporate polluters a license to degrade our country's waterways. Everyone deserves access to clean safe drinking water, yet so many communities know all too well what it’s like to live without it. This Rule would make this a reality for even more communities, and that’s just plain wrong. We must stop these rollbacks of our bedrock environmental protections-- send an email today!

This issue is personal for me. The very first campaign that I ever worked on as a young community-organizer-in-training was to close loopholes in the Clean Water Act to protect intermittent streams and wetlands-- the very waterways at risk from the Polluted Water Rule. To see Trump and his allies attempt to dismantle my work, and the work of countless organizers before me, is infuriating. Will you join me in taking a stand for clean water?
