Hey there,

When I was in college, I worked at the local Pizza Hut. The money I made working for minimum wage was enough to pay my college tuition and have just enough left over to buy a beer on Friday night.

You can't do that anymore.

The federal minimum wage hasn't been raised since 2009. And hardworking people are working more hours for less pay -- often taking two jobs to make ends meet. It's simply not enough.

Last year, the Democratic majority in the House took action to pass legislation to raise the federal minimum wage to $15. But the Raise the Wage Act is gathering dust on Mitch McConnell's desk because he refuses to take action. While he plays partisan games, hardworking people are hurting. McConnell and his Republican Senate majority aren't fighting for the wellbeing of working people. In the Senate, I'll take action to pass legislation to make the minimum wage a living wage. But first, we have to flip this Iowa seat and win back the Senate.

Iowa is one of just FOUR Senate seats Democrats need to flip to take back the Senate majority. Our race is neck-and-neck -- I need your help today to pull ahead.

Make a donation of $5, or whatever you can, to help us flip this seat, take back the Senate majority, and make the minimum wage a living wage once again.
