On Day 4 of our Twelve Days of Advent campaign I am delighted to share an exciting new development with you…

Read on to find out more!
Dear
SPUC supporter,
The death lobby is working hard to introduce two new laws that will cause the deaths of millions of innocent people.

They want to extend abortion laws so that babies can be killed right up to the moment of birth.

And they want to authorise doctors to kill their terminally ill patients.

These people really believe in their cause. They want to see innocents die.

But we believe in our cause too.

We believe in love. We believe in justice. We believe in life.

And we will win.

Time and again, as human history shows, good always defeats evil, and the truth always overcomes lies.

And often it is personal human contact that makes all the difference.

I am sure that you, like me, have been privileged to witness the transformation that can be brought about when truth and love are encountered in another human being.

That’s why I am excited to share a major new development in SPUC’s grassroots work with you.

Back in 2013, SPUC began a monthly pro-life outreach on the streets of Glasgow. We started going out and to speaking to ordinary people as they went about their daily lives.

The effects of this outreach were so extraordinary that the very next year we started training young people from around the UK and sending them out to towns and cities across Scotland. The annual Project Truth Roadshow was born.

Now Project Truth is taking another next exciting step forward.

We want to establish permanent Project Truth Pods across the United Kingdom.

Everyone has a unique role to play in the pro-life movement.

Some have gifts for research and writing, others have the skills needed to lobby politicians, organise public witness, or carry out essential fundraising work.

But a particularly beautiful gift is possessed by those who can go out into the streets and make meaningful connections with members of the public.

It’s a joy to watch these special souls at work as they convey the beauty of truth, and a love for life, in their words and actions.

These men and women will find a home in Project Truth.
Our new Truth Pods will operate either as part of an existing SPUC branch or as an independent cell. They will focus specifically on street outreach.

All pod members will receive special training from SPUC to ensure they are fully equipped to deal with the challenges street outreach involves.

The first Pod has already been launched in Warrington and has got off to a wonderful start.

Their first outreach brought them about one hundred conversations with members of the public, and they distributed leaflets to hundreds more.

They bypassed the censorship of the mainstream media and brought the truth about abortion and assisted suicide directly to the British people.

A member of the Warrington Pod told me:

“Warrington proved to be a great town for our first English Pod. We had excellent engagement with the public and met with a good amount of support for both our message and our presence.”

He continued:

“The Warrington Pod was a great victory. We established a solid foundation for future outreach in the town. We intend to build on this momentum and continue being a voice for life in Warrington.

Now imagine what we could achieve if we extend this network of courageous young people to dozens of towns and cities. We already have four other pods in preparation and our aim is to create many more nationwide.

SPUC would reach tens of thousands of people directly, in person, every year.

And that would change our country forever.

Engaging directly with the public isn’t for everyone. But everyone can take part in making Project Truth a success.

To set up a new Pod and provide training and resources sufficient for one year of street outreach costs £4-5k.

The more money we can raise, the more Pods we can establish.

To launch and sustain ten Pods for one year, will cost SPUC around £40k, twenty new Pods will cost £80k, and so on.

We estimate that twenty pods, going out at least once a month, could reach around 96,000 people every year.

That means that 83p – plus the freely given time and sacrifice of Pod members – is enough to bypass the media and political establishment and make direct personal contact with a member of the public.

That makes street outreach one of the most cost-effective means of spreading the pro-life message.

And your donation could make all the difference.

Thank you for your support for SPUC.

Together we really are saving lives and changing minds.

Yours sincerely in life,

P.S. The death lobby spreads its lies through politicians and the mainstream media. But they can’t stop us talking to each other and sharing the truth about human life and the evils which threaten it.

Your support today will keep our activists on the streets and ensure the truth gets out
