Dear John,
Across the country, people like you are taking action to resist the autocratic coalition’s assaults on our communities. We’re marching, carrying whistles to alert our communities about ICE raids, supporting food banks and mutual aid for our neighbors being harmed by the regime’s callousness.
Now, will you join us in growing and connecting powerful local organizing that’s defying the fascists and protecting our communities? [[link removed]]
Our network is doing the work that scholars, history, and international examples tell us is necessary to slow down and then halt the drive towards fascism, and instead put us on a course towards a multiracial feminist democracy worthy of our people:
* As Trump sent masked agents and soldiers into our cities, our affiliates and allies have been going door-to-door, educating tens of thousands of workers, tenants, and small businesses about their constitutional rights to protect their people if ICE shows up.
* We’ve been shining a spotlight on the corporations enabling and profiting from the regime, to push them to stop harming our communities. We co-authored research on Amazon featured in The Nation , organized peaceful actions at BlackRock and Tesla, and made giant Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk puppets that stood out (literally) in May Day actions.
* We’re showing what’s possible when communities come together — from passing a green social housing ordinance in Chicago to raising the minimum wage for tourism workers in Los Angeles (to $30/hour by the 2028 Olympics).
And early next year, we’ll be launching a new project that will train hundreds of everyday folks to organize their neighborhoods, take nonviolent mass action, and lead strategic campaigns that challenge corporate complicity in the fascist power grab and build the infrastructure for a civic participation renaissance.
So as this year comes to a close, I invite you to support such work by making a gift to PowerSwitch Action today. [[link removed]]

One of the strengths of a network is that we can zoom in and zoom out. Organizers on the ground are developing new tactics to meet this moment, and we’re creating spaces where they can share those breakthroughs with other cities. In parallel, we’re equipping local leaders with research, strategic analysis, and message testing to inform their plans. With seemingly every week bringing a new crisis, structures where we can learn from and lean on each other are more critical than ever.
When I look back on this moment 20 years from now, I want to be able to tell my baby cousins and their kids that when billionaires, fascists, and corporate elites tried to seize control, we said “not on our watch.” I want to be able to say that this was a turning point, when we built the community power to not just halt the fascists, but to remake our country into a place where all of us are truly free. I know you feel the same, and I hope you’ll join us in this moment. [[link removed]]
