Greetings,

This week, our clean water is on the line. Congress and the EPA are moving forward with two proposals that could roll back decades of protections for wetlands, streams, and the communities and businesses that depend on them.

The PERMIT Act ([link removed]) would allow major infrastructure projects to bypass critical environmental reviews. At the same time, the EPA’s “Polluted Waters Rule” ([link removed]) would strip federal safeguards from countless streams and wetlands, waters that filter drinking water, protect neighborhoods from flooding, and sustain local economies.

Watch my quick recap video of the issues and what’s at stake:

The consequences are real: when oversight disappears, pollution spreads, drinking water is at risk, and the costs fall on communities and businesses, not the polluters. Clean water isn’t optional—it’s the foundation of thriving communities, resilient businesses, and healthy families.

We’ve already gathered 90 business voices in opposition, but the fight isn’t over. This is the critical moment to act. Take a few minutes this week to make a difference:
* Call your representatives and tell them businesses depend on clean, reliable water.
* Submit a comment to the EPA by January 5, urging them to uphold the Clean Water Act.
* Sign ASBN’s collective comment to make sure the business perspective is heard loud and clear.

TAKE ACTION NOW ([link removed])

Don’t wait. Clean water protections are under attack, and your voice could be the difference between safety and harm for your community, your business, and your family.

Thank you for your support!
