A new NPR/PBS/Marist poll just came out, and the numbers aren’t subtle.

Democrats: 55% ⬆
Republicans: 41% ⬇

That’s a 14-point gap on the 2026 congressional ballot — the biggest Democratic lead in nearly a decade.

And independents? They’re breaking for Democrats by THIRTY-THREE points.

Let’s stop pretending this is fine. It’s not.

Democrats are treating this poll like a preview of their victory parade.

They’ve convinced themselves 2026 is already decided — that Trump’s agenda will hit a wall, that our majority will crumble, and that Republicans will spend the next two years apologizing for even trying to govern.

They’re wrong. But they won’t be wrong forever.

Polls like this don’t become reality because voters suddenly fall in love with Democrats. They become reality when Republicans assume “someone else” will fix it.

“Someone else will donate.”
“Someone else will organize.”
“Someone else will fight harder.”

John — 2026 is not drifting toward the Right. It will only move if we move it.
