Email from Alzheimer's Research and Prevention Foundation A note from Dr. Dharma on prevention, gratitude, and hope   Dear John, I am a big fan of The Three Stooges, the old comedy team from many years ago. In one skit: Curly says, “I can’t see.” Moe says, “Why not?” Curly replies, “Because I’ve got my eyes closed.” Yuk, yuk. Today, many people, unfortunately, have their eyes closed. They may not be paying close attention to what’s happening to their health. There is a great deal of stress in our world today, and this stress causes a tremendous amount of inflammation in the body and brain. That inflammation is, in large measure, the cause of the increase in so many inflammatory diseases in our time, including Alzheimer’s disease, autoimmune disease, and cancer. Moreover, as we just revealed in our latest groundbreaking article, Air Pollution and Alzheimer’s Prevention: The Science and the Plan, confirms a frightening reality: Climate Stress (the combined force of air pollution, toxins, and global warming) is a major new driver of inflammation, accelerating cognitive decline and total-body disease. If you watch television, you see countless drug commercials promoting their healing properties (watch out for the many side effects). How do they all work? By attacking inflammation. Our mission at the ARPF is to help people understand the health issues that lead to Alzheimer’s disease and many other illnesses, and what we can do to prevent them. We’re holding webinars, organizing Brain Longevity® Therapy Training certifications, and continuing to publish scientific papers and White Papers to share our vital work. None of this is possible without your financial support, for which we are deeply grateful. And quite frankly, we need your help to continue our research and educational programs in America and around the world. As we near the end of the year, we invite you to please consider ARPF in your year-end giving. Here's how to support this work: DONATE Yours in Brain Health, Dharma Singh Khalsa, M.D. President / Medical Director Alzheimer’s Research and Prevention Foundation (ARPF) www.alzheimersprevention.org [email protected] Prevention Editor, Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease P.S.
