Did you see this?

New polling from Data for Progress shows that 65 percent of voters support Medicare for All.

Data for Progress poll: Voters Support a Medicare for All System

That number is even higher for Democrats (78 percent) and Independents (71 percent), but even among Republicans, almost half of voters (49 percent) support a universal, single-payer health care system. That is huge!

Even more impressive is that voters maintain support for Medicare for All even after hearing arguments both in support and opposition.

This goes to show that Medicare for All is more popular than ever before in the United States — and it’s easy to see why. People currently cite the cost of living as their number one concern, and health care is only getting more expensive.

Health insurance prices are skyrocketing as a result of Donald Trump and the GOP’s nearly $1 trillion cuts to Medicaid, Medicare, and other federal health care funding, as well as their refusal to extend Affordable Care Act subsidies that cut costs for working-class Americans, all for the sake of increasing tax breaks for millionaires and billionaires.

Voters know that Medicare for All which would guarantee health care as a human right to all people, at a lower overall cost than we pay now is clearly the solution to this broken, patchwork system.

But it’s up to us to take advantage of this new polling and use it in our organizing to grow support even further. Please forward this email to five friends or family members today to spread the word!
