Friends,

Do you think Mitch McConnell is enjoying his two week vacation?

The Senate hasn’t yet returned from their July recess -- although it didn’t seem like they were working all that hard before the break either.

But McConnell has now said that he might be open to discussing more relief for Americans when Congress reconvenes -- although he won’t promise it’ll pass. According to him, things have just gotten too political lately.

Did Mitch McConnell forget that House Democrats passed the HEROES Act all the way back in May? And that, since then, he has staunchly opposed any additional relief for Americans, saying that he just didn’t feel the “urgency” to act? We haven’t forgotten. Mitch McConnell is the personification of political gridlock -- and he’s failed Americans at a time when we need leadership the most. Does he deserve a warm welcome when he comes back to work?
