My wish this holiday season is that every family in Pennsylvania can gather together – kids laughing, neighbors chatting, worshippers praying – without anyone looking over their shoulder in fear of a bullet stealing our lives or our loved ones.
We cannot afford to wait for change to come from somewhere else. Too many of our neighbors will already have empty chairs at their tables this holiday season. Enough is enough.
We’re drawing the line, and there are reasons to feel hopeful, friend. Together, we’ve made real progress in Pennsylvania this year: - We won public funding for community violence intervention programs (CVI) that stop shootings before they happen.
- We released groundbreaking research to break the silence on firearm suicide in rural communities.
- We passed machine gun converter bans in Delaware County and York.
-
We advanced more gun safety bills out of the PA House of Representatives over the last two sessions than ever before.
These are just a few of the steps toward a safer future we’ve made together. But our work is far from over. |
