Serving Pennsylvania's 2nd District

Friend,

This week, the president told his billionaire cabinet that the word “affordability” is a “con job.” Now, news reports say he’s coming to Pennsylvania to claim he’s fixing it.

My question for the president is: which one is it? I know my answer.

I want to hear from you: Have you received notification that your health insurance premiums are going up?

Yes
No, But I'm Worried They Will
No
By responding to this survey, you are opting in to future emails and texts from our office.

The cost-of-living crisis is not a con job — it is the consequence of the president’s tariff taxes, which have raised the prices of basic goods, and his disastrous Big Ugly Law, which cut health care for millions of Americans and raised premiums for millions more. The only con job was his promise to lower prices “on day one.”

The reality is, many of our neighbors are struggling to get by, and it is only getting worse. The price of groceries is up (Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics). Energy costs are skyrocketing in our commonwealth. To make matters worse, the average premium for a Pennsylvanian on Pennie, Pennsylvania’s Affordable Health Care exchange, is rising by 102%. These policy choices by the president and conservatives in Washington are unconscionable.

As the lead Democrat on the Budget Committee, I’m demanding that the president’s OMB Director, and architect of Project 2025, Russell Vought, answer for why their policies have allowed prices to get so high.

I am going to work every day to fight this backwards agenda. I will use every tool at my disposal until my neighbors can afford their needs and build the future they deserve.

As always, if my office can help you or your neighbors in any way with a federal agency, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Sincerely,
