Obamacare is on the table again, folks.
Democrats are begging for another round of extensions, but if we go that route, what incentive does Congress have to fix it?
This thing is a mess—and it has been since day one. Way back when, Nancy Pelosi had the audacity to say, “We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it.”
Well, we found out, we don’t like it, and the amount of money we’re pumping into it isn’t helping Americans. All it’s doing is making insurance companies filthy rich.
So, what happens next?
Rumor has it Speaker Mike Johnson may finalize a healthcare bill this week to get it on the House floor before we turn the page on 2025.
Sure, it’s a lofty goal—but never say never.
All we know is we trust Republicans to tackle this a lot more than we’d ever trust Democrats. As Tim said last week, outside of Christianity, Capitalism has taken more people out of despair than anything else in history. This is another good opportunity to bring that philosophy back to healthcare: more freedom, more choices, more competition, and less government.
Now, let’s all keep our fingers crossed and hope for a Christmas miracle.
