[1]Talarico for Texas

John —

This campaign was never going to be easy. From the start, we knew it would
take an unprecedented grassroots effort to win this U.S. Senate seat for
Texas.

And we’ve made tremendous progress.

Over the past three months, we’ve shattered grassroots fundraising numbers
and built an infrastructure of 10,000 volunteers who are already putting
in the work to defeat the billionaire mega-donors and puppet politicians
who have taken over our state.

Today, the field changes and the race gets more expensive with
Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett’s announcement that she’s entering the
Democratic primary.

We’ve built this movement on unity over division, and it is with that
spirit that we welcome Congresswoman Crockett into this race.

But this news makes today a big day for our campaign — an important moment
to prove we have what it takes to win.

We’ve faced tough fights before. My neighbors and I flipped a Trump
district that no one thought was winnable. And in a Republican-dominated
legislature, I continued to win victories for working people — capping
insulin copays, bringing down the cost of housing and childcare, and
standing up to Republican extremism.

What we’ve built on this campaign puts us in the strongest position to win
in November. We have the organizing infrastructure to mobilize and turn
out voters in every part of the state. We have a message that can both
inspire Democrats and also bring people over to our side. Winning will
require a big tent.

It’s going to take a lot of resources to see this fight through to the
finish in November.

That is why I am asking — especially today:

We can do this.
