Hey friend, it’s Brianna. Today is National Blue Collar Day, a day that resonates with me so personally.

Friend,

Hey friend, it’s Brianna. Today is National Blue Collar Day, a day that resonates with me so personally.

My father was a state tax collector and a union leader. He served as the president of his union and fought for fair benefits and worker protections. He also literally built our family home with his own hands.

Not only did I come from a blue-collar, union household, but I also worked blue-collar jobs from a young age.

Watching my parents and grandparents work hard to provide for my family instilled the values of integrity and service, which led me to begin working at the age of 14. From washing dishes to landscaping, to working at the airport, to becoming a volunteer firefighter at 16, I know the long hours and physical demands that come from blue-collar work.

From one of my old job sites

Today, and every day, I will always acknowledge the hard work our blue-collar community does, and do everything I can to advocate for fair wages, safe workplaces, and the respect working families deserve.

On this National Blue Collar Day, will you add your name to our petition to show that protecting blue-collar workers is a top priority for this campaign — and for you?

Thank you,

Brianna
